Honeybees
Bees have been a cherished part of Eric's life since childhood, with invaluable lessons passed down from his father, who tended to hives before him. It's through this generational connection that we've cultivated a profound respect and understanding of these remarkable creatures. Although Sherrida is the registered beekeeper, it is Eric who handles and maintains the hives.
Our journey with bees began when we noticed a lack of bee activity around our lavender. Realising the crucial need for pollinators, we decided to introduce our first nucleus hive. It was a Flow hive that kick-started our apiary adventure, but it didn't take long for us to recognise the potential for more hives.
In addition to producing honey, we also infuse some of our batches with culinary lavender, adding a unique twist to this golden nectar. Our honey products, including raw honey and various hive-inspired creations, are proudly sold locally, spreading the sweetness of our bee-centric ethos far and wide.
